Simplified Wellness is Achievable!


While pursuing my Master’s Degree in Business, I was working in Human Resources for a large healthcare system in our city. I saw the need people had for finding balance in their lives – heck, I was trying to find balance in my own life! School, work, kids, etc. – it was a little overwhelming! I thought, “I can’t be the only one who feels they are juggling a million balls at once. I can’t be the only one who wants to figure things out!”

Fast forward 7 years! I’m still working for that same healthcare system but I work in a different department and I have a lot of interaction with physicians now. Through my work, I discovered that physicians, although extremely good at caring for the sick, aren’t necessarily trained in prevention or nutrition PLUS they just don’t have the time to sit with a patient to discuss other aspects of their lives that may be contributing to their illness. This was another need I felt I could help with.

By chance, I was listening to a training on essential oils and heard the instructor mention that she was a health coach. This peaked my interest enough to contact her after to find out what a health coach was and how did she get to be one. She introduced me to The Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and I knew I found my way of using holistic health and my listening talent in combination to reach people who needed my help. The Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Training Program is the most unique health coaching program in its field. Graduates demonstrate their ability to guide and educate clients to make long-lasting, sustainable lifestyle changes. Graduates develop the business and coaching skills to practice one-on-one with clients, in groups, and alongside physicians. IIN graduates are dedicated to their health and the health of their clients, families, and communities and reversing the global healthcare crisis.

Shortly after I was finished with my training at IIN I went ahead and pursued certification. The Certified International Health Coach (CIHC) designation shows that I have demonstrated an ability to intuitively coach, educate, and guide clients toward their health goals. This title is recognized globally and is considered the top tier for which other coaching certifications are based upon. As a Certified International Health Coach, I integrate my expertise in active listening and accountability with ethical and professional standards to create a positive, nurturing environment to foster client success.


As a Certified International Health Coach in Integrative Nutrition, I assist others in working on primary foods as well as secondary foods. What’s a primary food? Primary food is more than what’s on your plate – healthy relationships, regular physical activity, a fulfilling career and a spiritual practice – all these factors can fill your soul and satisfy your hunger for life. When primary food is balanced and satiating, your life feeds you – making what you eat secondary. Sometimes we are fed not by food – but by the energy in our lives. These moments and feelings demonstrate that everything is food!

I am on a mission to help others find their way – I use a simplified approach to guide others to improve their overall life!
